This policy says what personal data quikforge.com holds, why, how long it stays, and what you can make us do about it. It is written to Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) ("PDPO"). Each section states the rule in plain words first; where there is more to it, the detail sits in the panel underneath.
Who is responsible for your data
- The data controller is QUIKFORGE LIMITED, a company incorporated in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Business Registration No 79555262, registered office Unit 2A, 17/F, Glenealy Tower, No.1 Glenealy, Central, Hong Kong S.A.R.
- Write to hello@quikforge.com about anything on this page. That address reaches the person responsible for personal data, not a queue.
What we collect
- Very little, by design. This site has no accounts, no logins, no forms that collect personal data, and no analytics or advertising trackers.
- Ordinary server logs. The hosting provider, Hostinger, keeps the standard logs that any web server keeps — the requesting IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser type. These are technical records, held by the host for its own operational purposes, and they are not used by us to profile or track you.
- We collect nothing else about you from this site.
Full detail — what the server logs contain
The site is static files served by Hostinger International Ltd. Like any web host, Hostinger's servers record basic technical information about each request: the network address it came from, the resource requested, the date and time, the response code, and the user-agent. These logs exist to run the server — to keep it up, diagnose faults and detect abuse. We do not combine them with anything else, we do not use them to build a picture of any person, and we do not use them for marketing. Hostinger processes them on our instructions as our processor.
What we do not collect, and what we never do
- No cookies are set by this site, and no cookie banner is shown — see the cookie policy.
- There is no account system, so there is no email address, password or name to hold.
- We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
- We do not set any third-party analytics or advertising cookies anywhere on this site.
Why we are allowed to hold it
- Under the PDPO, personal data must be collected for a purpose and used only for that purpose.
- The only data involved is the host's ordinary server logs, and they are processed for the legitimate purpose of operating and securing the website — the PDPO's legitimate-interest grounds as understood for infrastructure logs.
- There is no registration or filing with any data-protection authority in Hong Kong for operating this website; none exists for that.
Where your data is held, and who else touches it
- The site is hosted on Hostinger's shared hosting infrastructure, which serves pages from servers outside Hong Kong.
- Data is transferred to and processed on those servers only to serve you the pages you asked for.
- The only outside party that touches this data is the hosting provider, acting on our instructions and for no purpose of its own.
How long we keep things
- Server logs are kept only as long as the hosting provider needs them for operational purposes, in line with its standard retention, and are then deleted or anonymised.
- We hold no account records, because there are no accounts.
- If you email us, we keep your message for as long as we need to deal with it and, where relevant, as long as the law requires us to keep records of correspondence.
Your rights, and how to use them
- Access — ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
- Correction — ask us to fix anything that is wrong.
- Erasure — ask us to delete personal data we hold about you.
- Cease use — ask us to stop processing your personal data where the purpose no longer applies.
- Complain — to us first, and to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data if we do not put it right.
- Write to hello@quikforge.com. We acknowledge every request promptly and tell you then what we are doing and by when. We do not charge for any of this.
Full detail — how a request is handled
Send the request from an address you control, or tell us enough to verify the request is yours. We may ask one verification question — we will not hand data to a person who merely knows an email address.
Under the PDPO you may request access to personal data we hold about you and request correction of it. We respond within the statutory period and without charge. If we refuse a request, in whole or in part, we say which part, why, and what your next step is. Where a right cannot be given effect because a legal retention rule overrides it, we say which records are affected and how long they will be kept.
